Well, actually, I tried to learn German once upon a time. Personally
it was too difficult for me to do with no teacher around...I was doing
it via correspondence. At the schools I went to through graduation,
before college, there wasn't any opportunity to learn another language
other than through correspondence.

I do know some stuff about both Unix and Windows. I spent quite a
long time dialing into a system a friend had set up to do internet
stuff before ISP's became popular.
I've also used Windows a lot...after all, my Mom, Dad and sister
all use Windows systems, at both work and home for my Mom and my
sister and just at work for my Dad (my Dad refuses to use my Mom's
computer at home, he figures he deals with it enough at work.)
Where my Dad works, they just threw a computer on his desk and said
use this...and only trained him in one program...the one he accesses
via terminal software on their PowerPC based, AIX running IBM RS/6000.
I was the one who ended up answering all his questions about Windows
and showing him how things worked.

The bottom line is, I've used other systems and I keep on staying
with my Macs and Apple IIs.
