It doesn't help much to know Spanish in Pennsylvania, Kansas, Nebraska,
Tennessee, or Mississippi; there aren't many Spanish speakers, and very
few of them don't know English.  "Texas" is sort of general --- it's as
big as France!  If you're in some parts of Texas, Spanish is very
helpful if you want to speak to poor people.  I don't know about
Lousiana or Alabama.

Much of California, Florida, and New York are an entirely different
story.  :)
