I have a ROM 255 Apple IIc and the Apple RF modulator that goes with it. I
also have a black & white Zenith television with analog tuners. The IIc
composite out works, as I have tested it on a different TV. The RF modulator
connects with a composite cable to the IIc, then attaches with two wires to
the antenna terminals on the back of the television.
However, I was not having any luck in getting a good picture. The television
has both UHF and VHF antenna terminals. To which set should I attach the
modulator? Secondly, on which channel will the video screen appear? I tried
many combinations, and was able to get a really distorted video image on
screen. I could just make out the "Check Disk Drive" message. So something
is working, but not well enough. It might even be that this television has a
broken component somewhere.
Any ideas?
