Apple II restoration sources?
I was cleaning up a used IIe last night, and wondered if anyone can
recommend sources for some replacement parts?
1) The square black rubber footpads which go under the computer, Disk ][,
and other hardware.
2) Video out jack for the back of the computer. I've had problems with the
RCA-type cable being loose on a II+ and on older IIe's, which causes an
unstable flickering. I don't believe the cable itself is at fault, because
it provides flicker-free video on another IIe. Does anyone know if the
video output jack was changed sometime during the IIe manufacturing cycle
(about the time enhanced IIe's were first made)? Is there a good source for
replacement jacks?
3) What do people recommend for cleaning contact points on cards? I've
heard that a pencil eraser works well, but is this too abrasive? Also, is
it necessary/helpful to clean the slots also?
