'Working It" & AppleWorks GS and reclassification

Every time I listen to Don Henley�s new CD track �Working It� the
lyrics relate so very well to the current state of the Apple II
community affairs - in most every way and with every word in
those lyrics.

I�ve come to one conclusion. That the only way to overcome the
actions waged against you by others is to simply let them void their
own retreat, in their own special and ignorant fashion. It�s called
selective, self destruction by hate, greed and the refusal to be
cooperative, tolerant and understanding of the majority needs. This,
gives them no retreat to wage their nasty, hateful antics from,
against you and the majority of the community in general.

The beauty of the Internet is that you can�t have a vigilante force
or a tyrant clan that rules a select area and group community with
their desire for greed, power control and intimidation. The Apple II
community old power structures and their stability - who use these
tactics are headed towards the same fate as a city that�s unprepared
and perched on an active earthquake fault. 

When the city crumbles from ignorance of it�s inhabitants by their
lack of unity, cooperation, tolerance, understanding and not being
prepared - oddly, they all look around wondering why it happened.
Simple, because it was built on an active, unstable fault and nobody
did the proper retrofit with the main structures for the needs of the
majority of the community. If that�s not done it won�t survive.

What if, some day you go to the web site or ftp site you usually go
to for your needs and support, finding those needs and support gone?
With the state this community has now reached, it could occur at
anytime without warning. I�m going to do my best to see that does
not happen.

During the next few months I�ll be developing and organizing a 7/24
hi speed DSL public access ftp and http site with my own domain name
and my own ISP - apple2.net - to freely offer everything that
everybody that�s an Apple2 hobbist or user needs, wants and desires
to make it a productive and free Internet computer community without
tyrant and vigilante force or greed and power control over the Apple2
community majority.  Will it work?  that up to you - the majority of
the community to help make it work.  It can work if you unite as a
majority to help make it work.

Here�s one current example of how a community can come to the aid of
the majority needs with community services, freely giving for the
needs of each other.  Giving is the ultimate form of unity and
cooperation.  In just two days a public post and call for one single
missing part resulted in making a complete Apple II title available
freely for the needs of all - with Bank Street Writer III.

leaving all of you with all of this in mind, I am �Working It�,  now for
all it�s worth, in any and every way I possibly can for the needs of
the community majority and not for the desires of the tyrants, greedy
control freaks and hate festering vigilante clans.  I suggest you do
the same.  

That does not include wasting time with silly debates, flame
wars, legal or illegal attitude discussions, threads, rant/rave
replies and such on this newsgroup any longer. 

As another Apple II person that I DO ADMIRE for what she offers (even
if she doesn�t think I DO) - just posted and I fully conclude the quote
that follows - sums it all up with me and I suspect with many others
also!

�That's my view, anyway.  So get out the tar and feathers, you won't
stop us from giving out even more free services and help.�
