Fair enough. I do not have anything against you personally. In fact, since
you seem to be fairly bright for your age, let me give you some free advice.
Whether you take it or not is, of course, up to you.
1. Stick to your programming and avoid this thread. Your little outburst
cannot improve the situation; it just draws you in. Ignore Quantum_Cat, me,
or this whole issue in general, but remember that this "thread" is not new.
It has been around in one form or another much longer than you have. I have
been watching this go on since somewhere around 1991 or 1992, and I am sure
it started before that. This "thread" will only end when all of the
remaining Apple II developers have been driven away, or when Captain Turley
and his shipload of pirating prostitutes finally leave.
2. Avoid Turley like the plague that he is. He might seem friendly and
helpful now, but he will use you. Not might, not maybe. He will. Turley's
flattery and flatulence should tip you off. For some extra credits, see:
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~kashum/turkey/
Unfortunately, the link to Brutal Deluxe's page describing their encounter
with Turley is broken, but that page was worth reading, too.
3. Do not take anything said in this newsgroup seriously. While there are
plenty of fine people here, the few piles of pirating refuse that exist make
this place the big garbage can of the Apple II world. It is treated as such
by me, among others. If you want politeness (along with perhaps a touch of
bitterness), try Delphi. The A2Pro forum that Jeff Blakeney is involved with
is actually a pretty good place for questions and answers, and there are
people there that will appreciate your work far more than Turley ever will.
4. If you ever visit Turley in person, do not bend over.
