Possible but rare.  You need the earliest version of the Universal
Disk Controller (Laser brand).  This version had one rather than
two ports and is a long card rather than the later short ones.

This would only really be useful on a IIe with such a card, though.
There is no GS/OS driver for using the UDC, so the drive will not
work under GS/OS even if you had the early version of the UDC.
It is only a ProDOS 8 (or GEOS) card.  If you use it on a IIGS, it
would also be limited to ProDOS 8.
