I agree that 12.5 should satisfy plenty of users.

One thing I can't understand is that it appears that it has spaces for
four SRAM chips. The TWGS has three. How does one determine the
density and quantity to use on a ZipGS?

Yeah, but the idea of a switch is so I don't have to tear open
into my GS everytime I want to change speeds. I have limited
space, that and it's quite loaded up, so it'll be somewhat of
a hassle.
