There is a bug in the ROM 3 firmware which prevents it from creating the
/RAM5 volume if you have 8 MB of RAM.

I have GS RAM.plus with 6 megs which amounts to a total of 7.25megs
of available RAM of which I want to create 3.5 megs RAM5.
After I create this RAM5, I hope to have it stay there the next time
I boot (which doesnt always happen). I usually boot into P8 directly.
