Concerning the Beagle Brothers freeware archives, graphics and such

After a review of all the Beagle Brothers titles now available as public access
freeware from our Apple2 ftp and web sites, it looks like nearly every program
title that Im aware of - is now available for public access and download.

Below is a list of the sites and the folders these archives are contained
within
as ShrinkIt archives. Many of the archives also have documentation and/or
status
freeware release text files.

ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/apple8/Beagle.Oldies/

http://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/apple8/Beagle.Oldies/

http://www.grin.net/~cturley/gsezine/GS.WorldView/@A2.BEAGLE.OLDIES/

In an effort to consolidate all of the Beagle Bros. titles into one site and
within one folder, Ive made all available from within the above GS WorldView
folder. As they are freewares without distribution restrictions, perhaps other
sites might consider doing the same.

The GS WorldView - @A2.BEAGLE.OLDIES folder has all the archives that are also
available from the ground.ecn.uiowa.edu and gno.org folders, with the addition
of some documentation in both text for online reading and ShrinkIt file format
for you to download. The gno.org site, accessed by http has a well organized
html
document page that allows you to download the archives by either http or ftp
and
gives a very nice and orderly outline of what each archived Beagle Brothers
freeware release program has the functionality of and what each of the programs
allow the user to do with them.

I dont have access to the Apple2 archive library of delphi.com - but, Im
fairly sure most of the Beagle Brother Apple2 freeware releases are also
available from that online service for paid members to access and download. I
know that many are also available from the AOL Apple2 archive library, which I
do have access for to varify this.

So, taking all of the above information into consideration, I guess its up to
the individual as to where and how they want to access and download any of the
Beagle Bros. Freeware Releases.

Its really great to see all of these very useful Apple2 Beagle Bros. programs
now available for all Apple II users to download, have, use and enjoy. Many
thanks are certainly in order to all of the following for making them
available;
Mark S., Pres. of Beagle Bros., Warren Ernst, Mark Munz, Randy Brandt, Brad
Wilhelmsen, Bert Kersey and every other person ever involved with creating any
Beagle Bros. Apple II software in any way, all the Apple2 archive site
administrators that host the Beagle Bros. archives and the lost classics
project
folks for getting so many of the titles reclassified as freeware.

Ive gone through all of my old classic Apple II publication collections such
as
Softline and Call-A.P.P.L.E. issues, etc. and Ive found many original Beagle
Brothers full page and double page ads as Beagle Bros Apple Software Report.
A few of these are noted as Ad Number 181, 201, 222, 223 and even a real
classic
full page Ad from Nibble Vol.2/NO.2 -1981. They all have those strange and cool
graphics that the Beagle Brothers ads were so famous for having in them.

During this week, Ill be making high quality color jpeg and gif scans of them
all and adding them to the GS.WorldView/@A2.BEAGLE.OLDIES folder. Ill make a
post here again to advise everybody when the scans are finished and in the
folder.

Cheers,
Tom
