Bev,
you responded as noted below -> << >>:

> I WILL NOT and HAVE NOT EVER quoted you in any other forum.

<<Of course you have, starting with the statement that ProSel was released to
the
public. Or maybe sooner, who knows.>>

I know, that's who knows! See the Ref. URL noted above - an interview I did
by telephone with Glen Bredon, in Feb., of 1996. During our telcon, Glen
mentioned that he eventually intended to release ProSel to public domain. So,
your post to this newsgroup last year about that - really was nothing new to
me. When I read your post about it - I contacted Glen and he replied with
varification that ProSel had indeed been released to public domain. I have the
copy of his email reply to that effect that proceeds my post to this newsgroup
concerning it. So, that's no issue or related matter to my above accurate
statement: "I WILL NOT and HAVE NOT EVER quoted you in any other forum."

There are however other issues concerning Glen Bredon, that you and a few
others in the Apple II community have raised a real PUBLIC huff over in the
near past - such as his Y2K ProDOS patch release and of course the release of
his ProSel program to public domain, etc. And, I fully intend to ask him for
his thoughts on all that in an upcoming interview with him, I plan to publish
in a future issue of GS Worldview.

<<Well, this is why we don't post here much any more. It makes it very hard for
me (and others) to share interesting or antecdotal information if you are in
danger of being quoted. It's been a long time problem, and does not have to do
with you specifically.>>

I realize it doesn't have to do with me specifically. What I don't actually
understand
is why you (and others) consider yourself; to be in danger of being quoted or
why it's been a long time problem. The way I see it and others also (take for
instance Mike Westerfield) who posted to this newsgroup "...anything I post to
this newsgroup can be considered to be public domain...." . I feel the exact
same way and I'll state it here too.

Anything I post to this newsgroup can be considered to be public domain. That
means that anybody can do with it whatever they want, with anything I post to
this newsgroup, legally!

I certainly don't consider this as in any sort of a danger or presenting me
with any sort of problems. You (and others) of course do seem to....although
just why, I don't guess I'll ever understand the logic of just why you (and
others) do feel that way.

Cheers,
Tom
