IIe Failure

I have a platinum IIe (with 8mz Zip Chip) I use daily. Today, on
booting, all it shows is 7 board lines across the screen and does not
boot. I removed all the cards, pressed down on all non-socketed chips;
the same thing. The Zip Chip has been installed in so many computers
over the years I am concerned its pins are not going to take many more
transfers.

If it matters, cards removed were Focus 20 HD, Apple SCSI card,
Timemaster, RamFactor and two parallel printer cards. The only one left
is a combination 80 column-RGB.

Would anyone take a guess what might be wrong with this formerly
faithful friend?
