First, snap up the deal from Phoenyx.

The usual way to get software from the net is via downloads to your PC.
Usually, this will come in .shk (ShrinkIt or GS-ShrinkIt) files. The most
popular other popular formats are ...

.sdk-- whole disk ShrinkIt archives (typically of 5.25" or 3.5" A2 disks)
.dsk-- disk image files (usually, of 5.25" A2 disks). These files are often
maintained in compressed (.gz) form on sites like Asimov. On the PC,
use WinZIP to uncompress .gz and .zip files. You should end up with
files of length 143,360 bytes fo 5.25" .dsk files.

There are other formats; but, the stuff you find in .shk, .sdk., and
.dsk files will be more than enough to get going. Often, info about a file
will be available in a similar-name .txt file which you can read on-line.

Once the files are on your PC (and any .dsk.gz files are uncompressed)
you can transfer the files to a 3.5" diskette or RAM disk on your IIgs. The
usual way to do this is via a NULL modem connection using a telecom program
on each computer. HyperTerm is fine on the PC. On the IIgs, you can use
commercially available programs like Spectrum or ProTerm 3.1 or
shareware/freeware programs like Modem MGR, Agate, ... .
