     It sounds like either the OS you are booting or some application you
start is trying to do something with AppleTalk. Check your System/Drivers/,
System/FSTs/, System/Desk.Accs/, System/CDevs/, etc. folders for any
AppleTalk stuff and remove it.

     You may need to check the application you normally start. It may have
some kind of auto-update, etc. option that is set to look at AT-connected
devices. Turning OFF such an option could solve the problem.
