Is about the only place left in town where you can get the 256K
RAM chips for your IIe expansion card. I went through them three
years ago for RAM for my Laser 128/EX. They had the 64K chips
and the 256K chips, in stock. Expect to pay a premium price;
as they indicated that they paid xx dollars for them when they
were still being utilized, and they wouldn't let them go for any
less than what they paid. They were 120 ns speed, which is better
than the 150 your current chips are. AFAIK, if you keep the
`slower' chips in Bank Zero, then there's no problem with using
faster chips in the higher Banks - they're just treated as all
being 150's. The other way around is not recommended, I've heard
and that makes sense. You may be able to find another local source
for these lod RAM chips, but I doubt it. Those two IIe's I picked
up this weekend had only basic stuff; 80-colum card, SSC and drive
controller; but if you check out the Goodwill shops and Value
Village, you may find a `loaded' IIe with a RAM-card already
populated, for less than the cost of new RAM chips at Cal-Draft.
Good luck, either way.
