Re: New GS/new accelerator



Mybe since we have good emulators on current platforms, maybe 'we' could
add hardware compatability card (like the mac Iie card)  and allow it to
interface the original drives.  Did everyone here forget Woz's design
was simple?  i know it could be done with a dedicated CPU and small ram
area (64k) to mimic the IIe or (256k) IIgs.  It would require some
serios programming to recognise the drive access routines.  barring tha,
really put a IIe on a card and simply have a utility to read the drive's
contenets into memory and run it all from there.  (800K and 140 k ar not
large 'cache' anymore...)
