Any Mac with at least (from my experience) ClarisWorks 4 or 5 or
MacleWorks 5 (Appleworks 5 for the Mac) can read and write files
in Appleworks 3.0 format.  Have done this many, many times.  The
Macs will even read Appleworks 4 & 5 versions of the files on
occasion.
