included source code. Check the FTP sites. TWOVOICESND is one of the
programs, I think. Its in the SOUND directory on one of the sites.

This works, yes. I've never seen any program that does this except for
one of my own where I was experimenting.
David Empson, I think your SAM comment may have been incorrect. Isn't
SAM a program that does voice, not an interface card? I downloaded a
program called SAM (I thought it was Software Automated Mouth), and it
would make the Apple II talk without a speech card. It used pre-
recorded pheonomes (spelling?) to speak. It sounded OK.
Interface cards that I know of that produce speech are Echo (plus, B,
probably other variations), a Mountain Inc. card (there have been posts
here lately of someone wanting software), Doubletalk, I think
slotbuster has a speech option, and others.
