Should this ever come about, I expect a hybrid system is the best
way to go. For the most part, I still like the emulated method,
KEGS on a Linux system. I suppose it really depends on what is
expected from the new system. A lot of users simply want to play
games on them. Myself, I simply like to program them, although I
enjoy a game now and then.

There is something to be said for the card idea. Perhaps a pci
card with the basic GS hardware interfaced to the PC hardware as
needed. Of course with today's VLSI technology it would be
possible to create a GS as a palmtop system. The only limits are
our imaginations and finding someone who can actually make the
thing.
