I bought it used a year ago, and it had these symptoms at that point
also, so I finally bought a new CPU for it recently, and found that
the new CPU didn't change anything.

My IIgs works fine when it doesn't have the TransWarpGS installed, if
that's what you mean.  When the TransWarpGS's installed, I can't boot
into GS/OS no matter what I do, regardless of whether I have the
original 7MHz CPU or the new 14MHz CPU installed in the TransWarpGS.

Nope.

Thanks for the warning--I can be a little rough with my computer stuff
sometimes--especially after a few hours of fruitless troubleshooting
