Re: RamFAST and Audio CDs - HELP!

The RamFAST had special CD drivers (several versions - withsrc. codes also)
released for use with Audio CD's with it. You need to download the archives of
them (there are a few released variations and versions of such). They are
available from most all of the major Apple2 online ftp sites. I've also
included them in several areas and folders over the past in my own website.
Some are for use with GS/OS and some are for use with gno.

Below are most all of the URL's to try on the Ground Apple2 ftp site
.
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/gno/sounds/cdaudio.100.shk>
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/Srcs/ramfast.cdromaudio.drivers>
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/System/Drivers/RFMEDIASRC.SHK>
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/System/Drivers/RFMEDIA1.1.SHK>
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/System/Drivers/RFMEDIA1.2.SHK>
<ftp://128.255.21.234/apple2/apple16/System/Old.files/Ramfast.media/RFMEDI
A.SHK>

On my website you should do a search for: ramfast & CD
via this link and URL:

<http://www.grin.net/~cturley/@SEARCH.MY.SITE.NOW/>

You should get 97 returns to check out - dealing with others problems and
solutions they found - related to the RamFAST and audio CD's as well as every
possible released archive for such use and needs for the RamFast card and
playing audio CD's with it, using
many different audio CD player models and brands.

It may take you a while to find what you actually need to use with the RamFast
card
and the proper CD driver for your specific model of audio CD player you wish to
use with it. But, you should certainly find what you need to take care of your
desires to play audio CD's with the Ramfast card and your available audio CD
player model or models - from the above mentioned sources.

Do let us all know with a post and reply on what you found, where you found it,
which archive it was that worked for your specfic CD audio player model and if
it worked for your needs. That info really does need to be added to the CSA2
FAQ's for the future needs of others :)

Cheers,
Tom
