And, I reply:
According to the documentation in the manual of a rather rare AE 16 Bit card -
named: "Special Applied Engineering 16 Bit Card Software Developer's Package" -
the rev. C of the 16 Bit card, (which I have) has two ribbon cable connectors
(one from the P1 - top left socket and one from the P2 socket - bottom left)
for connecting it to the AE RamWorks II memory expansion card (via P1) and (P2)
to a 2 Meg. Ramorks memory expansion piggy-back card. As such it is capable of
addressing up to 16 Meg of memory, the full capacity of the 65816 processor.
I will be providing a complete color hi-quality jpeg scan of this AE 16 Bit
card (front and back) and each page of the manual (as well as a ShrinkIt (SDK)
archive of the AE 65816 Testing Utility v1.1 (5.25" disk)
in the Feb2000 issue of GS WorldView today.
It appears that with this AE 16 Bit card attached to either an Apple IIe or
IIgs - as outlined above to the RamWorks II card - with it's piggy-back card,
the TWGS (for use only with the IIgs) is thus capable of addressing up to 16
Meg of memory, the full capacity of the 65816 processor.
With all of the above as outlined connected and in a IIgs - the 40 pin
connector on the top of the TWGS card is then connected to an "AE
Special Testing and IDE controller" card for use with any IDE hard drive.
I'll post the exact URL for accessing and viewing the AE 16 Bit card
and it's manual jpeg scan files, later on today - as soon as it's all done and
available from the Feb2000 issue of GS WorldView.
