I just tried it also, with both a straight-thru on terminal setting, and a
null modem cable on com setting, and it gives me the same prob.
The answer is right on the tip of my tongue, so to speak. Let me dig into my
MSDOS book -I think that the problem is how it's worded. I'll experiment
with it a minute and get back to you.
I could be wrong. I haven't used the type command like this before.
