ISO: Free computer web sites

I seem to recall encountering some mentions on this newsgroup or
perhaps an Apple II mailing list, that there are some web sites for
organizations which collect old computers that people no longer want
and which then make the computers available to those unable to
afford the latest and greatest technology.

A co-worker has access to an old Apple IIe+ that he would like to
send along to a good home, rather than throw into the trash can some
where.  I'm just trying to help locate one of those organizations.
