Granted I am no programmer (particularly when it comes to what would be
required to write something like MacTCP or Marinetti) per say, but it seems to
me that Marinetti already has the "basic" functionality of MacTCP and it
certainly seems conceivable that Marinetti could be modified to add this
additional function of sending the IP data through Appletalk.
Granted the programmer of Marinetti would probably want to charge some amount
of money for a version of Marinetti with this functionality, but I actually
believe that there are quite a few people out there who would be willing to
pay it to have the option! Especially with shared broadband connections into
the home and networked computers in the home are starting to become more
popular. I know that I would certainly fork out some money for the ability!
