ProDOS 8 does not interpret dates, it just moves them between your
clock driver, your disk, and your applications. Some applications
misinterpret the dates (they should be revised or patched).
Since 1991, ProDOS dates have been well defined, and they cover 1940
to 2039.
If you're using an Apple IIgs, you want ProDOS 8 2.0.3 so that the
built-in clock driver behaves correctly.
You should not need to patch ProDOS 8 (other than to modify the year
table every few years, using Apple's utility, if you're using a
Thunderclock-style clock).
