I would never dream of doing so. Actually, I was referring to the text
based Lynx browser that is on most UNIX shell accounts. I've had
good luck downloading with it (hitting "d" when the cursor is over
the file I want to download). On systems where Lynx is present,
it is invoked by typing the "lynx" command.

I would not be surprised at all if there is a problem bewtween the
Netscape product and Windows 98, seeing how Microsoft has
stitched their own browser into the guts of the OS. I've read that
there is a program out there that can take out IE from Win98. I
just play it safe and stick with Windows 95, an OS from which
IE is removable and Netscape products actually run. Besides,
if I wanted IE, I can use it from within AOL. I'm still waiting for
AOL to replace their integrated IE with Navigator, seeing that they
now own it and all.

As for Communicator and website code, you must be referring to
Netscape's implementation of Javascript versus Microsoft's. I've
always thought Netscape's version is the official one and the
Microsoft implementation is a marginally compatible scripting
language (the Jscript thing in IE 3). Didn't they fix it in later
versions of IE or has it become so entrenched that Microsoft is
passing it off as the official thing?
