Thanks for that url on chips Ed, it is quite interesting. I tired your
suggestion. Results: with Caps Lock, CAPS, w/o, lower case. But, is that
not what even an unenhanced //e is suposed to do?
Incidentally I tried someting else: I tried loading a PrDOS floppy (Copy ][+)
on it and it coughed and said "needs an enhanced to load error" but runs a DOS
3.3 just fine.
THis machine looked interesting for experimentation. Wonder if anyone has
tried this? :
I have a //GS that is cracked, ie the motherboard is cracked; I got it at
Goodwill under a pile of much heavier stuff and it did not stand up well to
the weight, but its CPU is ok. I pulled it and replaced the 6502 on this
]["e".
It will now load ProDOS.
I am curious: if one pulled the 64k RAM on the motherboard, and replaced with
256k can it be addressed or is that a waste of time?
Also, does anyone know where one might find the schematics on a RamWorks or
a Slinky memory card?
