The version on Asimov is not Y2k compliant as far as I know.

If you must have a free program, I suggest AppleWriter.  It
does not have the Y2k issues.

Besides, many people find AppleWriter a more powerful
editor than the older version of AppleWorks found on the
Asimov site.

AppleWriter is legally freeware.  It is Y2k compliant.  It
is more powerful than the old decrepit Asimov version of
AppleWorks.  Why not do the right thing and use good
old AppleWriter instead?
