Magic Routing Bug II

Magic routing bug revisited?

For those who have the magic routing bug-fix on their system
("System" folder with an auxtype of $0002) try out this
weird bug.

Take a file that isn't installed in your "System" folder, but
is magic routable, and copy it to the root directory of your
boot disk. Now drag this file onto the desktop. Next, drag the
file onto the "System" folder for a little magic. It is moved
into the proper directory, but the Finder thinks it has been
copied. Try to delete the icon that is still on the desktop.
Try moving it into another folder or window. Weird, eh? "Put
Away" (command-Y) with the desktop "copy" of the file will move
the icon back into the root directory. Now drag the real file from
wherever it is in *:system: into the root directory. Two icons with
the same name in the same directory window. Aiieeee!

Now close the weird window.  Open it again.  All should be normal;
you have escaped the "Magic Routing Zone"!

Has anyone else seen this?

P.s. Prosel reported no errors in a test of the directory structure
after all this, so it is just smoke and mirrors.
