Re: Stereo board question (SoundMeister in this case)
I definitely think it's worth the $$ and effort to get ahold of a
stereo board on the IIgs. I recall the difference back in the day, and
just a few hours ago when I plugged the board in--more dramatic an
effect that one would think initially. I just ran out and got these speakers:

(I have the next larger set in this line hooked to my G3
currently)...and it sounds super.
The only difference between what's happening currently with the sound
output currently with the SoundMeister in my GS vs. what I recall
happening on my old GS with the MDIdeas SuperSonic is that the IIe
speaker still outputs Ensoniq sound. I recall that on the MDIdeas
board, the IIe speaker outputs IIe sound, but not Ensoniq sound. No IIe
sound comes out of the stereo speakers on the MDIdeas board, as I recall
(nor does it on this board). I would just like to silence the internal
speaker from playing Ensoniq sound now.
