Dear Bill,
Thanks for the pointer to the Bernie web. We will be offering a
patched ProSEL package soon that does not depend on patched system
files. It's the original release with an updated Mr.Fixit component.
The Volume Repair utility (the 16-bit equivalent) will be removed as
there's no fix available.
A patcher should patch what's broken and leave other parts unmodified.
Therefore, we do not recommend using the patcher _except_ when
applying it on a disk or disk image for exclusive use with ProSEL. In
that isolated case it does make sense using the Y2K patcher.
