DONT LOBOTOMIZE THAT UNIDISK 3.5! I worked hard to restore two of them.
The restorations worked, although I had to fit the plastic cases together
with duct tape. I installed a 40-pin socket for the 6502, and that meant
that the plastic shells would not fit exactly. Soldering a 40 pin chip
into its board seems like computer blasphemy.
If you can use a grey Apple 3.5 drive, I'd swap one of those in perfect
condition to receive the Unidisk 3.5 in as-is condition, even if
non-working.
