Re: Apple IIGS to last another 39 years

I have two IIgs and although one is stashed away in a box, both are still
running fine. I also have an Apple II+ clone that (says "HONDA" rather
than "APPLE II" on bootup), I am sure, would work just as it did if I took
it out and fired it up. (The problem for me is keeping even one monitor
running, and keeping the hard disk from packing it in.)

Compared to the current situations with computers, the Apple II (or ][) is
very definitly forever. In addition to the above I have a Mac PB1400
which, while less than three years old, is very firmly in the same class
as my IIgs for most people. And my attitude to that situation is also the
same - it does what I want so why should I change it.
