Its intended purpose was for discussion relating to user groups for
Apple II computers (e.g. Big Red Apple Club, Washington Apple Pi, etc.)

Apart from very occasional on-topic messages, it has almost never had a
relevant message posted, and there aren't that many user groups around
now with active Apple II users (my own user group certainly doesn't).

I was among those who voted it into existence, along with
comp.sys.apple2.programmer, comp.sys.apple2.comm, and
comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.  If I remember right, comp.sys.apple2.gno
came later.
