This was a common thing on the Amiga. I believe the data in a given
track is just copied from one to the other -- that is, the data and the
underlying format, to put it in a rather odd way -- but I think that was
what happened, in one fell swoop, track by track. There definitely was
no format pre-copy on the Amiga in any common disk copy prog. I guess
it was more like Copy II+'s bit or sector copy.
