I'm pretty sure you'd have to open the monitor to make such
an adjustment and doing so exposes you to potentially
lethal voltages even on an unplugged monitor.  The only
drawback of doing this short of the danger to the person
opening the monitor is that the monitor would no longer
display a full picture if used on anything other than a IIGS.
The pixels would also look bigger.

I don't know the details of how to make the adjustment.
