The AST card won't hurt the ROM 3. Ron is talking about the
AE RamPlus cards. Those require one EPROM for ROM 3
units and another for ROM 01 units. If you put a ROM 01
card into a ROM 3, it "blinds" the ROM 3 to its own 1MB and
makes it think it has only the memory of the card.
As far as I know, the AST RamStack does not have this
problem. Even if it did, pulling the card will solve the problem.

Yes it will. I have one in my ROM 3, populated to 8MB.
It works like a charm.
