According to Nulib v3.2 docs, you should be able to compress a .dsk file
and have it in a ShrinkIt archive. As for getting ShrinkIt to create a floppy
disk from the shrinked .dsk, it seems unlikely.

ShrinkIt should just unshrink the archive and reproduce the .dsk image.
You still have a .dsk file-- only, now, the file is on your Apple II hard disk
or wherever it is unshrinked to. To convert the .dsk file to floppy you would
use DSK2FILE (on a IIgs, you could also use Asimov).

For many 8-bit A2 users with only 5.25" drives, the usual barrier to
moving, say, 5.25" .dsk files is that the file is as large as the target 5.25"
diskette. So, the .dsk could not be unshrinked to such a diskette and stored as
a file.

About the only workaround seems to be to use a target diskette formatted
for 36 tracks. The process for creating such a diskette and the modified ProDOS
is discussed in PRODOS288blocks.txt on ACN Florida at ...

ftp://24.96.48.134:6502/Cabi_Archives/Utilities/ .

A shrinked disk with most of what you need (PRODOS288blocks.SDK) is
available in the same folder.
