Does anyone know if SimSystem IIe is in the Apple II
emulator FAQ? It should be due to its unique status
as the only Apple II emulator with reversed-engineered
clone ROMs. Besides, the display is the most
Apple II like I've seen in any emulator. Back when
I was into Apple II emulators, I liked SimSystem the
best because of the display. I was more than willing
to do some extra conversions to turn .DSK images
into .IIE images to use it.

That's good to hear. I might just unearth it from my
archives and install it on my Windows 95 unit to use
then. I think there is a setting in Windows that will
cause the computer to restart in 'DOS 7' mode,
right? So it might not be too much of a hassle.

It was slow on a 386, but in a typical Pentium level
system, it is quite fast. Faster than XGS definitely.
Besides, the loss of a little speed is a small price to
pay for a display that actually LOOKS like a IIe
screen.

It is quite amazing to see DHR games or AppleWorks
on SimSystem. In fact, one time someone walked in
when I was using it and the first thing he said was
"Apple IIe" when he saw the display.
