I don't think it'll work because the IIGS generates analog
RGB and the 9-pin monitor you refer to sounds like CGA
(which is digital RGB). Analog RGB can transmit an
unlimited number of colors while CGA is limited to 4, I
think.
However, you might want to check out Tony Diaz's web
site http://www.apple2.org/ for more info since he has
stuffed two IIGS units into portable cases.
