Concluding you are using your Mac PPC, the MacOS 9 and NS 4.7 to check out
Apple II relate things on the Net, then here's my advise....remove the MacOS 9
and install something like v7.6.1 thru 8.5.  I'd suggest you avoid using 8.6 or
9 on your system.  You've got plenty of RAM for sure, but, your machine just
ain't made for the MacOS9 - IMHO.  

And, if your not using it all for accessing Apple II related stuff on the Net -
then your in the wrong newsgroup and should post the question in:
comp.sys.mac.apps
