I solved my IIgs woes by throwing cash at the problem. I purchased a memory board (I think it is a slinky) from csa2.marketplace and yanked the added memory from the GS board. I now have a one megabyte /RAM6 and a 256K /RAM5. It is really, really spooky to have a completely quiet computer--no whine from a fan or a hard drive. Paul R.
