Correct. The Laser maps 5.25 drives to slot 6. It maps 3.5
drives to slot 7. It maps the internal 1MB RAM card to
slot 5.
On all Lasers except the EX/2, the external slot can be
addressed as either slot 7 or slot 5. Thus, it can be
swapped for either 3.5 drive capability or 1MB RAM slinky
card capability.
The EX/2 can only address the external slot as slot 5
because on the (main model) EX/2 the internal drive is
a 3.5 drive, not a 5.25 drive.
