2 more stupid questions:

First is on an Apple // Clone: Laser 128:  on the bottom are 2 switches (3 in 
PAL countries) the 2 on the right say External Slot 5 (and Slot 7) Enable up, 
disable down.  Up on both seems to enable the external slot on the side, 
down ON BOTH disables it turns on the floppy port int he back.  there seems to 
be NO WAY to turn on 1 the externa; and 2 the floppy port AT THE SAME TIME.  
unless someone else knows a way.  I have tried every combo w/o success.

Second question:   /RAM Disconnected on slot3 drive 2 on all my //es //c  and 
/lasers: is this cuz I ain't no gots the extra memory to turn it on?

related: (well so its a 3rd question):
 If I have a Foucs in and a 2nd floppy controller, does the used slot 5 d1 d2 
use up 2 Focus partitons and make them unusable?
