An Adaptive Firmware Card is a miracle that is worth its weight in gold.
But, only to those people with disabilities who are unable to use standard
input devices like keyboards or mice.
The AFC allows the use of adaptive keyboards and other adaptive input
devices, such as foot operated scanning switches.
The AFC is essentially worthless to those who have full use of their limbs,
but is a godsend for people with Cerebral Palsy. So, please donate your AFC
card to an individual or organization that can make use of it. In return,
you'll get a tax break.
Call around to your local Red Cross and/or Cerebral Palsy centers, and if
they are still using Apple IIGS computers, that AFC card will allow one
more person with disabilities to use a IIGS computer.
