FS:Zip GSX Accelerator 7mhz 8K, Price Slashed

As rare as they come...

I have ONE working 7mhz Zip GSX version 1.02 with 8K of cache...

For sale...

STILL!!! (Incredibly!!!)

Rare toy...

Software manual on disk included...

This is the card you've wanted for years...

And my asking price has been SLASHED!

This card is was on sale for 300 US dollars...

...Then $275...

...and...there are now nibbles...

So in order to get you fence-sitters out there going, it's now down to a much
more tempting $245 US dollars! (And you three fence-sitters know who you are
because this came in your email, today.)

Agreed, this card is a little expen$ive, but the last accelerator I saw on eBay
went for well over $265. The broken one went for over $100! As far as what I
paid for this card back in 1990 or so, let's not go there. Please, do not
insult me with email offering me anything less than 245 bucks; and, don't post
after me how expen$ive (or overpriced) it is.  Yes, I know it's a high price;
but if you've been out hunting for one, you know how rare these puppies are and
how much you'll have to pay to get one!

If you think the price will come down in time...

Well...

This card's next (and final) stop is on eBay! Next week!! Looking at my
pricing history, you can pretty much guess the reserve is going to be hefty!
AAAAUGH!!! (Yes. I know. Shame on me for wanting to recoup some to most of
my long departed money without the buying power or interest.)

So, what's it going to be? Pick up this cool, rare card now or be beaten out
at the last 3 seconds on eBay?

Buyer pays shipping. I will only ship through UPS or similar, professional
service. I will ship overseas. (International order? No problem!) Buyer
must prepay by cashier's check or money order only! Oh, and I am shipping from
the United States, of course. First person to email me accepting these terms
gets this card. If payment is not received within 7 days, that person will
loose out to the next person in line.

The card remains on the market exclusively to comp.sys.apple2...

But not for long... (Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick.
Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick.
Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.)

Now, please indulge me as I fritter away even more bandwidth to answer a few
questions and comments.

$245 now is does not have the same buying power as $245 then.

The electronic components that make up the board don't move. While they are
old, they aren't tubes. (As I'm sure you realize.) They are highly unlikely
to fail; that's why society runs on them as opposed to, say, on a "highly
reliable" floppy disk that my purchased copy of the excellent language GSoft
BASIC arrived on. (A shameless plug and a good jab to the ribs. :)

Eh... This won't determine anything except I'm a money-hungry, scoundrel in a
lot of people's eyes! :) Except to the person who winds up with the card who
might look at me a tad more graciously for putting the card on the block in the
first place.

Nope. I've just played "What's Appropriate Shipping" more often than you. :)

Incredibly lucky! I need to shop where you do! :)

Thank you for weighing in on the "rarity" question, Supertimer.

In my - and I suspect most other people's - book:

This may come as a surprise to you, but I happen to use my GS on a regular
basis.

Again if the future owner is willing to take the risk, great! I'm sure he /
she will be looking for assistance.

Me? I'm VERY uninterested in doing this!

...and some people characterize ME as a money-hungry, scoundrel! :)

And still be left out by Apple. This is . . . good . . . ? . . .

...but, I digress.

I wouldn't characterize the passing of three weeks as "fast."

Yeah since it is yours, you'll be glad to see I'm returning it to you full. I
like my reality, not yours! :)

Ah... But mine is known to WORK making it much more valuable to users!

BTW: ORIGINAL shrink-wrap is quite easy to purchase. And you can end up
paying for an empty box. Don't be fooled! Insist on seeing what you pay for!
