You're right, Wozniak is different. Woz was never very ambitious,
apparently. Both Jobs and Gates are ambitious, and affect the industry-
But- they're on different teams.
I believe that Jobs is pushing the industry forward, for individual
freedom, for true innovation, open standards and progress, while Gates
pushes forward only what he believes will keep Microsoft at the top-
tyrant of the computer industry, which crushes all serious competition
and practices very unethical means to defeat or "influence" those who
would otherwise benefit the industry with new and better products,
services and ideas.
Microsoft hinders innovation, while Apple embraces it. Both Jobs and
Gates may be ambitious. But Jobs is working towards the future od
The Apple II was, is and will always be a great machine. Apple did a
terrible thing- It forgot about the Apple II community; it didn't
provide it with an upgrade path to thier next generation computer. And
Apple's been through some though and unfocused times since then, but
Apple's refocosed now, it's recmmiteed to what Apple's always been
about. And Steve Jobs has has been the main intial driving force in this.
The Macintosh is good computer; generally a better machithan all those
Wintels out there. So, please, Supertimer, take a good second look at
Apple and Steve Jobs today.
