I think that my point is we see these things come up for sale every couple of
months. There is no luck there, as these are very public sales to get the
price. People who are looking for these cards really ought to be able to find
such sales more frequently (they are looking for the card, I am not). So hold
your shirts on, as another card is just around the corner!

It really ought to be able to flush individual cards out of local markets as
well, especially for people who live in largish cities. Not everbody who
purchased the card will still be using their IIgs. Not everybody who have a
IIgs will even remember everything that is in it, let alone know the current
market price. These cards have been out since 1990 or so, so it is fair to
say that some souped up IIgs's have been in the closet for four or five years
by now. So try placing an ad in a local buy-sell paper looing for used
systems. Weed out the bad ones by ensuring it was not a child's machine, or
somebody who sells a lot of these things. Look at the machines which sound
good, and pay the person for what you believe it is worth to you (obviously,
I am cheap :-) It took me about four months to find an Apple II SCSI card
that way, but it did work. The TWGS was a handsome bonus (especially after I
discovered the inflated prices which they go for).

Finding the card this way may take well over a year, or maybe you will never
find it this way. It is just a suggesting to try on the side, because it
sounds like the people who do not go crazy in these bidding wars will be
stuck waiting a while for a card anyway. So good luck to all the people who
need the card, and be gone shameless money mongers and collectors. Let the
real users play.

Besides, I broke mine and determined that I should never hold on to toys
that people think are that valuable again. :-( (Unless it is something which
I can use, like a SCSI card. :-)
