Just thought I'd second that and mention that my 8MHz ZipChip (model 8000) works
just fine with my mouse and DHR mode as well. I tried it with Publish It! 4
yesterday. My IIe system looks like this:

- Rev D motherboard, ZipChip 8000 soldered in, 18 ga. power wires to all slots
- Bugg-Power power supply (also powers two 3.5" IDE hard drives mounted internally)

- Aux slot: 1MB RamWorks II
- Slot 1: Apple Workstation (LocalTalk) Card
- Slot 2: Apple Super Serial Card II (modem)
- Slot 3: PCPI 6MHz Appli-Card (Z80 CP/M)
- Slot 4: Apple Mouse Card
- Slot 5: Apple 3.5" SuperDrive Controller (two drives)
- Slot 6: Apple Disk ][ Controller (two drives)
- Slot 7: ///SHH Systeme MicroDrive IDE controller (connects to IDE drives)
- SMT No-Slot Clock
